Our Vision Statement

At Springfield Area Music Industry (SAMI), our ambition is to put Springfield on the map for its music scene. To that end, we want to identify avenues and opportunities for growth and exploit those; we want to identify systemic failures and explore means of correcting them, and establish a pool of individuals willing to work to make that happen. SAMI is not only for musicians, but sound engineers, techs, and even venues and club owners; everyone who wants to help us bolster the Springfield music scene is welcome. Our purpose is to come together as a community, support our local music industry, and put as MUCH music out there as possible.

Latest News

A few months back our treasurer Dominique Gabriella and I were catching up and talking about our independent projects. She expressed frustration with being unable to really give legs her passion project that she had endeavored hard and long to realize. And one, that of realized fully would be a major asset to the scene in general. I asked her what It would take to give it the legs it needed to serve the scene. She said she needed more resources and less restriction. The decision to give her those things was a no brainer for our board of directors. So we formed a media division, and put her and her team on it! Watching her turn her passion and her team into a powerhouse of local media and scene coverage has been truly thrilling!

If you need your event covered, make sure it's on the scene. If you need to grow your audience and expand your reach there's none better than Dom and her team to fix you up! Bands, venues and brands you all need to be on the scene!
